The pretty village of Boscastle is more famous than ever now since the 2004 floods and their aftermath received extensive media coverage. The South West Coast Path leads down both sides of the natural inlet that forms the basis of its harbour, and the walks in either direction are full of interest. The tiny islet of Meachard lies off Penally Point on the northern side of the harbour. We regularly pass this area and late one afternoon I noticed interesting clouds and good light so we stopped and I hared along the coast path to get this near sunset shot just before incoming cloud put an end to the colourful display.
