Panicale is a beautiful small walled hill town, known better to the Umbrians than to tourists, to the south of Lake Trasimeno. Apart from its beauty its claim to fame are frescos by Masolino and Perugino in its churches. In the piazza that lies just inside its eastern gate I captured this lovely scene of a late afternoon sunbeam imparting a lovely warm glow to a wall before striking a pot plant on a doorstep, backed by a large oak double door.
